For Meta Dame, cat-artist, is the phenomene "cat" a part of her life. As well living cats, as sculptural ones, both are evenly important to her.
She loves to be surrounded by these creatures with their beautiful shape, graceful, soft, flexible, proud, self-conscious, lovely, naughty, mysterious….

About 15 years ago she started to produce only sculptures on the theme 'the cat'.

Ancient Egypt, cradle of the cat as a pet, there where the cat was considered a sacred animal, is a great source of inspiration to her.
Bastet, the Cat-Goddess, in the shape of a woman with a cat-head, was worshipped as goddess of love, fertility, sun, moon, dance, music etc. for ages.
That's where the name of her gallery comes from: La Dame Bastet.

Her sculptures are made of bronze, ceramics and combinations of different materials:
From miniature to garden-sculptures: figurative, realistic, sometimes abstracted. Sometimes cat as cat, often as part of a composition.

Always elegant, with long legs, willowy. You feel the presence of her long and turbulent history in their soul.

Besides sculptures she also makes jewellery, from silver, bronze and ceramics.
